26- A Special Court in Jodhpur has convicted self-styled godman Asaram for raping a minor girl at his ashram in Rajasthan in 2013. It sentenced him to a prison term for life till his natural death.

31- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of raw jute from Rs 3,500 to Rs 3,700 per quintal for the present fiscal.
